hOrtAn initially began, as an architect, a study on the evolving relationship between the body and space in a world increasingly shaped by the omnipresence of digital technology. Today, he develops hybrid works that explore sensitivity as an emergent property of algorithmic and computational systems.
Characterized by the excessive repetition of simple motifs, his creations open up uncertain/ambiguous territories between algorithmic control and sensitive indeterminacy.
hOrtAn a d’abord initié, en tant qu’architecte, un travail sur l’évolution de la relation du corps à l’espace dans un monde de plus en plus marqué par l’omniprésence du numérique. Aujourd’hui, il développe des œuvres hybrides qui engagent un travail sur la sensibilité comme propriété émergente des systèmes algorithmiques et computationnels.
